DJ Nana believes that the art of turntablism is a science. The same precision and dedication that scientists put into research experiments is what Nana is known for putting into his art form. As an artist, DJ, performer, producer and all around entertainer, Nana has toured the globe behind turntables alongside some of Canada’s best performers. A connoisseur of music, Nana boasts an impressive list of credentials. He began his DJ career at the tender age of 14 and has since then performed in many locations around North America, Europe, Asia and South Africa.

As a Music Producer and Independent Label owner, Nana has secured musical placements for various productions (Kim’s Convenience Season Four, The Coroner), earned a Juno Award for Best Rap Recording Album (Legends League Presents: Naturally Born Strangers), created the classic South African Hip Hop song ‘Let The Beat Go’ featuring HHP, Tumi (Stogie T) and Zubz, was honoured with Ghana DJ’s Best International DJ in 2014 title; and is the only DJ to have made an appearance on any Idol based show – his feat on Canadian Idol during 2008. DJ Nana has been affiliated with The Drake Properties, Cactus Club, Soho House Toronto and 416 Snackbar, as well as releasing a series of independent pieces/events via his ear2muchcollective imprint. He’s also shared the stage with an impressive list of high-profile acts such as PRhyme (Royce Da 5’9 & DJ Premier), Kendrick Lamar, Common, The Roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Danger Mouse and K’naan.
